No, but as it is a physical activity you need to be at least ordinarily fit and healthy. If you are not fit, healthy, or able-bodied and still want to experience some padding with us, discuss it upon booking so we can make the necessary arrangements to make it possible for you to do so, regardless of your challenges

Unfortunately not, unless we were informed and given the time to make the necessary adjustments to the trip, or tour. Children cannot be included in tour groups comprising of other participants who are not part of the family – unless they agree.

We use our own trusted PaddleYak® Tango Sit-on Doubles exclusively. They were specially designed for commercial tours and provide a fine balance between stability, comfort, safety and performance. Where expressly requested we also provide the PaddleYak® Swift Sit-on or Hybrid Double as well as the PaddleYak® Gypsy Sit-on or Hybrid
Single. On occasion paddlers wish to use their own craft, which is allowed if the craft are suited to the route, but there will be no change to the cost of the tour if they do so.

We run daily trips from Hobie Beach on the eastern side of Central Beach in front of the Bungalow Restaurant, Plettenberg Bay. Trips into the bay last one to two hours. We also offer daily kayak trips on the Plettenberg Bay Lagoon, from Poortjies Beach. Trips there last from two to six hours.

Yes. The tour is called the Real Cape Kayak Camino – Plett. It is run two or three times weekly from January to June. It includes all meals and overnight camping on the banks of the Keurbooms Lagoon. The tour includes the Bitou Estuary as well as the magnificent Keurbooms Gorge. Distance covered vary from 30 to 40 kms depending on the weather, tides and capacity of the group. This tour is one of the most authentic nature experiences in the whole Garden Route and is a must.
