The Explorer has been going strong for more than a decade; having been the vessel of choice for Todd Clark, Brent Wibberley & co. They were the first to attempt to paddle the entire length of Lake Tanganyika in 2000. However the Lake Tanganyika Kayak Expedition, 2008, was successfully completed by the new Louis Peters and Morne Smit in the Swift Hybrid double and Brent joined again in the PY Explorer.
Brent & co. have gone on to use the Explorer and Swift Hybrid for various other expeditions; such as Lake Victoria & Lake Malawi throughout the years.
