Welcome to our kayaking trips & tours company, Real Cape Adventures cc, nestled in the heart of South Africa.

RCA is the adventure branch of Sea Kayak Productions inspired by PaddleYak’s own adventurer and entrepreneur Johan Loots, running since 1994.

Our team of experienced guides offer a truly unique and personalised kayaking experience for beginners and experienced kayakers alike.

With a focus on safety and sustainability, we provide high-quality equipment and “leave no trace” eco-friendly tours. Our kayaking routes are carefully chosen to showcase the stunning natural beauty of our country’s coastline, as well as breath taking less-explored international locations.

Cape Kayak Camino

The Cape Kayak Camino is the latest offering and provides a beautiful, serene kayaking experience from the Keurbooms Lagoon and Keurbooms Nature Reserve of approx. 36 kmwill thrill nature-lovers and bird-lovers alike, meandering the Bitou Estuary, lagoon and Keurbooms Gorge – an unhurried and eco-friendly way to experience the natural attractions of Plettenberg Bay.

Plettenberg Bay

One of the worlds prime nature locations, with two hundred kilometres of indigenous forest, a relatively unspoilt coast and a network of lakes, estuaries and lagoons offering superb kayaking. Home of the exquisitely beautiful, but elusive Knysna loerie, sought after pansy shells, a few elephant and a stretch of coast par excellence! Stretching from Mossel Bay to Plettenberg Bay, it is aptly called Eden.

Real Cape Adventures has sponsored PaddleYak kayaks and supported various expeditions such as the excursion across Lake Tanganyika and used to cross Lake Malawi and more famously in 2011 by Riaan Manser and Dan Skinstadt’s adventure in Iceland on their PaddleYak Swift Double; Inspiration. We have also sponsored Riaan Manser, adventurer extraordinaire, who circumnavigated Madagascar in a PaddleYak® Swift Hybrid Classic (2008-2009) and as well as Iceland (2011), together with Dan Skinstad, in a PaddleYak®Swift Hybrid Double
