Real Cape Adventures CC launched guided sea kayaking trips and tours in South Africa in 1994. It started operations in Cape Town and Plettenberg Bay and soon expanded to and promoted kayak tours further afield, from Cape Town to Spain, including in Hout Bay, Simonstown, Churchhaven, Langebaan, Paternoster, St Helena Bay, Swakopmund, Principe, Mozambique, Mauritius and Madagascar. In 2012 it was instrumental in the setting up the first guided sea kayaking tour on the famous Camino de Santiago in Galicia, Spain, followed by the setting up of an overnight one in Plettenberg Bay, called the Cape Kayak Camino. This sparked a proliferation of Camino-like trails and tours in the Western Cape, South Africa. Real Cape Adventures CC has now launched its latest version called The Plett Coastal Camino, offering five options, from One Day to 2 Days /2 Night to 5 Days/5 Nights, the latter covering a distance of 65kms, including one full day of lagoonside kayaking, On the Plett Coastal Camino, RCA shows participants the Real Plett, the magnificent coast, the forest and the history, from the Robberg Peninsula to Nature’s Valley. RCA’s association with Plettenberg Bay covers a lifetime there, making it the quintessential Camino in Plettenberg Bay and South Africa. Do it here, and then do the original Hike and Kayak Camino in Galicia, Spain. See info or phone/WhatsApp +27 825562520 or 0825562520.
