PaddleYak Kayaks’ sensational new sectional kayak, the PY TravelYak Split, is on track for launching at the end of October 2023. Twelve years in the planning, designing and testing the craft is expected to more than fulfill the expectations of many with a need for a high-end portable and compact, but sturdy and sea-worthy kayak. A quarter of a century after introducing its award-winning hybrid sit-in/sit-on sea kayak, the PY Swift, owner Johan Loots is ready with another unique new craft.
The PY TravelYak Split will break down into three nesting parts to fit into a bag which you will be able to take on airlines as luggage, or fit in your car, or in a bus, train or yacht. In composite carbon laminates it will be lightweight and versatile.
There is a waiting list for the first ten Special Edition composite model at a special price of ZAR39000. The production model thereafter will vary in price between ZAR50000 and ZAR80000, depending on the carbon content.
