PaddleYak’s New SUP Board
Whilst it’s a mystery why anybody would choose a SUP Board above a kayak, PaddleYak has brought its innovative streak to SUP Board (henceforth to be called supboards…) designs with its introductory PY Penguin Supboard. Predictably with PaddleYak, more has been put into the design to provide users with a variety of features, some of which are not commonly found on other SUP Boards. The PaddleYak board is extra wide and offers extra volume for great stability, but it is also relatively compact and mobile. It’s built in rugged fibreglass to stand up against the harshest of conditions, so ideal for resorts or for being left lying on roofracks or in the sun near the water. It features a stern indent for a coolbox, a seat and foot indents for sitting down on when you feel like it or the weather requires it and optional rodholders and wait for it: an optional underwater viewing port! PaddleYak has also opted for fixed, built-in and hard-wearing skegs. The board is a no-nonsense SUP offering various features to ensure you get the most out of paddling it. The basic board comes at R6500 incl Vat. The optional underwater port costs R1500 to supply and install. Soft decking and special colours and designs are other options. Choose this board; it has multiple functions built into it to make choosing a supboard a fair choice!
